Just to let everyone know, the next Jogscotland block starts tomorrow night, Monday 19th April 6.50pm Bistro, Aqualibrium and Thursday night 6pm, Bistro Aqualibrium. All welcome.

Also if you can manage both nights, Monday and Thursday, then it is £15 for both of the nights for the 10 weeks.

I am trying to organise the support and marshals for the Campbeltown end of the Kintyre Way Relay. Is anybody able to help out? Fiona will be telling you more about it at JS but essentially the relay will be on Saturday 1st May, the teams and individuals will start off at Tarbert at some silly hour on Saturday morning and the finishers will be arriving in CT from about three thirty onwards. We need people at aqualibrium to check off and look after the finishers. We also need marshalls at Goba gennan turn off, Milknowe stores and at Lochend turn off to usher the runners in the right direction and look after the road crossing. If we have enough helpers each person would be on for about an hour to two hours.

We also need one or two volunteer drivers to take runners back to Tayinloan in the Sports Council mini bus.

If you can help contact me at sid@limecraigs.freeserve.co.uk and tell me when you are available. It's a really good event so I hope that some people are able to help out.

Sid , I am free to help out where ever I am needed , I will drop you an email :D

Thanks Caro and Pans Lass. I'll get in touch with details.

A good turn out once again for the start of the new jog scotland block and it was good to see so many sign up for the two nights especially in the run up to the MOK .

As it was a lovely evening , and to break them in gently, Moi and i took our group up Bengullion forgetting how taxing that wee incline is on the way to the top , however i think everyone enjoyed the change of route .

Next week we plan to do some fartlek training.

Last week JS intermediate group enjoyed some fartlek training and covered 5 miles , this included a warm up mile and a cool down mile and 3 miles at fartlek pace so tonight we thought we needed to incorporate some hills into our training schedule .

Our warm up mile took us to the end of Low Askomil , we then carried on towards the Trench point ,turned just before the farm and ran up the hill to main road entrance . At the top Moi suggested we try it again as she promised to the group it was always easier second time round however she did get some strange looks but everyone was game and took the hill for the second time in their stride , a first for some so well done guys !! Now we know what everyone is capably off your next stop is the dreaded Water House Brae

Hi to everyone at Jog Scotland, and Good Luck to all of you who are doing the challenge at the end of the month. As some of you are aware I had an accident in January and was not able to come out with you all, I was looking forward to coming back to join in after the Easter break but we had an offer on our house, which we accepted, therefore we will be moving down to England on 26th May - sorry to have missed the race as I so wanted to better the time I did last year. I want to say a big 'Thank you' to all the Jog Leaders and all my running partners especially Liz & Donna, you kept me going when at times I wanted to give up. I am hoping to continue to run once we get settled in and after all the boxes are un-packed.

Cheerio

Hi Loretta good luck on your move and glad you are feeling better. You never know yourself and Ted might make it back at some point to join in with the 10k maybe even next year.
Good luck Tilly :D

Well done everyone who was running tonight sounds like all your hard work is paying off, hope you are not all too tired.
Count down for the 10k seems like i'm doing less training now we are nearing the time rather than more training. Never mind there are always other priorities.

Sorry Pans and Co that i wasn't there to help with packing of bags, had i remembered when i got home i could have left Coxy to pick up the kids and i could have joined you.
Tilly :D

No worries Tilly , I know you have had your hands full lately getting organised for the big day , not long now !
And dont worry about the training , you do enough running around to make up for it

Last night Moi and I took our group a steady 4 mile run out to Stewarton/Moss Road entrance and back as our final Monday run before the MOK . You guys are more than ready for this after all your hard training over the last 10 weeks . Well done !

The leaders of JS Wee Toon Runners wish ALL Monday & Thursday runners all the best on Sunday . :D
