Wow,what a good turnout tonight and just on a time trial too.Well done to you runner's tonight there was no hanging back, one could see and l am sure the people watching will back me up on this, you ran your best,"good on you all".

Thanks to Suzy who was well organised,(a lot better than l was)so really a big thanks to her for that and also to Jennifer, who was back up tonlght, which left me really redundant, which l liked ,well done ladies.

That is it until May,but if anyone is looking in and think they would like to get involed just get in touch with anyone that you know that runs in this event or is involved you will be very "Welcome". Some amazing times run last night, well done to everyone concerned, it was great just watching you all leave fresh faced and return with that wee (I did it, look on your faces) brill.
This year's series is going to be a classic, and almost 50 runners on board which is great. I only hope DJD pick's route's with enough room for us all. lol Roll on May 15th.

I have a spare t-shirt for anyone who never ordered, unfortunately I'm injured and I've had to pull out.

Hi All

Wee Toon Runners 2010 handicap series rules

5 venues from 8 appointed each being the set distance of 3 miles

Loch Lussa
Macrihanish
Bellochantuy
Tomaig
Glen Barr
Davvar Island
Westport
Campbeltown

5 venue's each being of 3 miles

Each runner will be given a handicap time which will be taken from a current race time, within the last 12 months

A runner who has not got a time for the first race or the remaining races will be given a scratch time.No points will be awarded for that race.

A runners handicap time will not move outside the 30sec rule for each race,ie your handicap will not increase more than your original handicap time.

Only 4 of the 5 races will count towards the final points total

Points awarded for each race will start from 100 pts for 1st place,99 pts for 2nd place and so on.

A one off runner who runs 2 races or less will receive the lowest points awarded in that race,as to not having any reflection on the final points total.

Age points for this years series is as follows
20/39 years = 1pt
40/49 years = 2pts
50/59 years = 3 pts

8 points will be awarded to each runner that turns up and completes the race course.

There is a slight change to the rules from last year, which we think make the running of the handicap better for all.

Please fell free to ask any questions regarding the above.

Thanks

DJD,

not been good for the last few weeks. Did a 10K on wed and realised that all was not well. Went to doctors--condition was not good, but the doc is a miracle worker. anyway, did ten miles today in 1.15,58. predictor will calculate my 6 mile time but was through there in 45,46, I'll leave it to you. I can verify 10 miler -garmined

Hi All

Just like to pass on some facts to you for this year's series.

34 runners who either ran a race or have done a time trial for this year and have made their times available.

2 runners that we have still to work out their time.

5 runners who might turn up and race on the night.(some with a time and some with not.)

Not bad out of the whole total that have been issued a number out of the 2 years, which is 52 numbers.

To tho's that read this and still thinking but are not quite sure, you are very welcome and you l promise won't feel out of place as we all know they are a great bunch of runners who have a unique Campbeltown cheer to get you underway at the start and at the finish,as l have wittnessed at a few other road races

Hi All,

last call for anyone to pm me your time or the other thing is to let me know that you will be turning up on the night and running on a scratch time, and if you don't for any reason let me know, you will be still very welcome.

it will be a nice little sharpner for our main event of the year,The MoK.

thanks.
