Never been to Davaar Island in my puff, so does anyone fancy a wee visit tonight? Tides look fine.

Well have officially now been over to Davaar Island

I enjoyed the run over to the island although was a bit rough under foot as tide wasn't completely out. A welcome change though from the usual routes. Hope everyone's legs are not too achy this morning.

Rubber rings at the ready,l am now back at the helm(god help us)apology has been accepted,so l am looking forward to the next race.

Date.....29th June

Time....1900hrs

Venue....Gate at the start of the causeway to Davaar Island.

Terrain...Hard sand/loose shingle (depends if the tide is fully out.) then trail.

There will be a quick brief on the night as to the route for thos that have or never managed to run over to the island before.
Parking is limited so please be aware as to the cars using the route to go about their everyday business.

Feel free to ask any questions leading up to the night,and if you have any friends that fancy a run let them know,they would be welcome.

just a reminder that the race is on tomorrow to thos that will be running it,also if you have a On/Off road or even a trail/innovate shoe,l think l would opt for them as it might be a slight slippery for a race shoe.What ever you have just watch your footing and pick your route ahead of yourself.

I'm going to be very busy with stuff for end of term before my 'short' summer holiday so I am going to miss this one out! Probably a good thing knowing how clumsy I am - can't see my ankles and that terrain being a good mix lol

Although I said yesterday I wasn't going to run tonight after playing 90 minutes of football on Sunday night and feeling aches in every part of my body yesterday (and much of today!) I am really glad I went along and enjoyed a stunning run! What a cracking run and right on our door step.

Well done again to everyone who took part and the organisers. Great to see so many people there tonight too. Honestly wish it was more often.
