Great to have JS back and be fit enough to go! Really enjoyed it and, as with many ohters, well-chuffed to manage the 2.8 miles - just shows what can be acheived with such a good level of support - although it was a struggle getting up the library brae! Fingers crossed for remaining injury free this year! Thanks to all involved for keeping JS going and us motivated!

Hi everyone a wee bit late reporting this week Monday night was a good run out for the intermediate group. We ran down to the Jetty from the Ardsheil and back to the red cross hall. Around the three mile mark, everyone put in a good effort again this week. Not as many runners this week hopefully next week will be busier again. Now the nights are drawing in runs on the roads with no pavements and street lights will be gone again for a good few months. Nice scenic routes will be erxchanged for plodding around town.
Well done again intermadiates and thanks Fiona 28 for waiting on and helping out i know you are busy and stressed with exam prep.

Hi everyone that time again Mondays seem to come round really quick. Intermediate group had another good run tonight although we were missing a few of our group probably due to other committments hopefully not todays poor weather and the thought of a cosy fire lol. Was a really close night, run from Picture House along Kinloch Road, over Lochend St round and up the top of Main St out to the call centre back down along High St to Black's shop and back along the Esplanade where some of our runners went half way down the prom across to the cutting and back to the red cross hall while others went to the paddling pool and back to the hall. A great run by everyone, each week all runners improving on their running. Well done again intermediate group i can see some of you moving on to the top group shortly.
Also a good warm up by Fiona 28 tonight so will need to implement that weekly as group happier with a longer more structured warm up. Good for us jog leaders to have some new warm up routines for our groups so thanks Fiona.

I had popped a quick post on here to congratulate the saturday runners but it seems to have disappeared  With Truds as leader of the day we took a warm up out to the moy then back in and over benguillion to fly up and down the hills  great run with many ups and downs and teddy bears picnics in the forest - fair enjoyed - downhills not for the fainthearted  just love racing down them screaming at the top of my voice - you know your ankles are just as safe up there as they are dodging the potholes on the glebe

djd you would have been proud of me :D

Bad news, I think! I went online to enter for the Strath Park 10K that we decided would be our 'away' trip this year and it is saying event full!!!!! Looks like it's a no go folks - for once we must be too slow off the mark! :(

This morning must have been one of the windiest days that we have been out on a jogscotland run  We headed up High Askomil and ran to the top of the mast . I thought that I was going to get blown off my feet and end up at the bottom of the hill as the gusts of wind were so strong

Managed to make it down the hill in one piece and we headed out to Drumore and back to the Community Centre via Glebe Street. Got caught in a few heavy showers but by the time we had finished the sun was out ..... typical !! Never mind, another 5.27 miles in the bank :)

Couple of days late in posting but a big well done to our brilliant Thursday group! Janet and I took the beginners who are fast approaching intermediates... :D Just over 3 miles, headed towards High Street and straight up the Drumore 'incline', before heading back down Glebe Street. A great effort from a great group :)
