well done to all our Wee Toon Runners - you all did yourselves proud with your great attitudes and cameradery round the route - the craic was great :D

Posting to let you know that our jsc wee toon runners current block will be finishing on Saturday 27th June. This will bring to an end a good six months of hard work. To bring it all to an end we will be having a wee event on Saturday 4th July, this will be confirmed to you all by your leaders.

JSC Wee Toon Runners New block will start on Monday 23rd August and run through till Saturday 20th November (we will probably however take a week off for oct hols) but this will be confirmed.

Let your jogleader know if you are needing a WTR running top as a new order is being made up.

Fees for the block for all wanting to run as part of Wee Toon Runners group either on Monday, Thursday or Saturday remain fixed at a very reasonable £10. All excess monies given to local charities. As always please pay at beginning of block in one payment to save us banking pennies here and there :D

Again if you want to come twice weekly for this block the cost will be £15 for 2 sessions, eg if you train with moi and pans on a monday you are more than capable to come with the saturday morning group - your cost would be £15 rather than £20 or if you run on a monday and thursday night to help you keep at it.

So all of you wishing you had been a part of it this year start getting your head in the right place, get the excuses ironed out and get out there with us after the summer - if we can do it - you can do it :D

We have had a great group this block and you have all worked hard and done very, very well so be very proud of yourselves.

Have a great summer and keep up the good work Wee Toon Runners.

Fiona

ps i want to see you all doing a little something over the summer

Hey folks hope you are all not enjoying the hols too much and keeping things ticking over...

Here is an invite I had sent to me, posting it here to keep you all in the loop incase any of you fancy going :

My name is Roselyn Bruce i am a member of the Starlight Parade Committee,
and a Jogleader at Peterhead Jogscotland The Starlight Parade Committee was
formed in 2008 when a group of friends in Peterhead decided to organise a
Moonwalk in aid of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association. Linda Mathers
Chairwomen of the Starlight Parade's son and Grandson were both born with
Spina Bifida, and over the years Linda and her family have really
appreciated their support. Since 2008 we have raised over £30,000 for this
charity. To learn more about the Scottish Spina Bifida Association visit
www.ssba.org.uk/ .
This year we have decided to organise the Peterhead Half Marathon on Sunday
12th September at 11am. We hope that many of our friends from Jogscotland
throughout the country will come and take part, and enjoy the warm welcome
you will receive in the Blootoon. All levels of runners/ joggers will be
taking part and even a few people are going to walk/jog the route which is
fine by us. Peterhead Half Marathon takes place during Buchan's larder a
local food festival promoting all the wonderful food produced in our area.
We would be delighted if you could stay with us after the run and sample
some of our local foods including the famous Cullen Skink.

For more information on the Peterhead Half Marathon, and to see the
photographs of the route visit http://peterheadjogscotland.blogspot.com/ or
to enter online visit
http://www.born2run.co.uk/Pages/SelectU ... entId=4833.
Please can also pass this email on to your members if possible, or display
an Entry Form of the Event

If you require further information dont hesitate to get in touch.

best wishes

Roselyn Bruce

Great to see so many new and old faces tonight and to see so many of you commit to both training nights ! :D

Well done to those in Ali and I's group who managed the 3 miles starter session which allowed everyone to find out their own running ability ...now the training begins .

Hi guys lovely to be back training with everyone again, great effort from the beginners section on Monday night, two miles covered which is brilliant especially from those who have never ran. Monday proved a challenge for our newest members and since this is a session for complete beginners this coming Monday will be back to basics and we will be doing 1min jog followed by 1 min walk. This will be continued until all members of the group are confident and comfortable with what they r able to physically do.
See everyone on Monday night and if you can get out there and do a little training on your own or with a buddy.
Kareen :D
