no excuses now...

Cheers Darren but still doesn't suit. I want to go but can't be bothered with the hassle of organising someone to watch the wee man etc so will give it a miss and go out myself. Good to see you are going. If anything changes I'll text you in the morning.

Unfortunately we're not going to make it either tomorrow, sorry as need to be back sharp as taking spin at 11am. Don't want to miss a run completely though so might do a few miles at 9.15 - SCD, you're welcome to join us.

I am so jealous reading about the Jog Scotland guys, I was so looking forward to getting started again after the Christmas break, but unfortunately I have had an accident at work and cut the top of my thumb off so at the moment unable to do much at all. I will return as soon as I can though. Keep on running................ Loretta.

Great run yesterday, everyone totally enjoyed it

We started from the gate to the gauldrons and took the the hills literally !! Straight up. All took our time and did our own pace. Pretty pleased with my personal performance considering the time ive had off and the terrain - so keen to keep it going now :D

Well done to all espesh Darren R and Rab McD who got the whole way round the loop  and we must have an extra special mention to Joc our tourguide who ran backwards and forwards in the mist like a sheepdog keeping an eye on the flocks.

Just as well we got back when we did as the hunt was just about to start for pheasants, wouldnt have liked to have got hit in the butt by one of those guns

Ninja, we ran to the boathouse and cut a left up over a grassy knoll, ran for about another three hundred yards, jumped a fence, went through a gap between some trees and then came back onto the "lower" track. Jocelyn knows her way about those hills....

When we got back to the Fish Lab, we went on to the entrance to Isle View and then back to the lab. The Garmin tracked it at 5.91 miles. If anyone wants to PM me with their e-mail address, I'll send a file that maps the run. You'll have to have Google Earth to open it though. I've saved it using the Garmin Connect software.

I'm not sure if there's a way to give you access to it through Garmin Connect

Really enjoyed the run on Saturday. Too bad it wasn't a better day weather wise to get the view from the mast and the boat house, but there's always next time!

Ninja, you should have kept going and done the 'wee' loop because by the time you get to the ruin you've done all the hard bit and it's pretty much flat or down hill the rest of the way. Robert described the route perfectly and once you've been round it's easy enough to find. I'd be happy to run it with anyone who'd like to do it, but might not be sure where to go.
(Just need to make sure it's not lambing time).

The distance from the fish lab and back is about 5.4 miles and from the village shop it's about 10k.

Hi there Monday night again how the weeks are flying by. Well done again to Monday night intermediates who managed 3.4 miles tonight. Route checked out and led by Joan and everyone seemed to enjoy the run, time roughly 45mins. Maybe next week we will do first half of 10k and work on our pace to quicken up our time.

Sounds like Saturday morning group enjoyed their run up that great big hill and off the beaten track well done guys don't think i'm fit for that yet. Keep threatning to fall out my bed early one Saturday morning and join you all. Will look on to see where you are running this Saturday coming.

Week 3 of the new block ....route tonight was the 3 points of Campbeltown ...further than we had anticipated for week 3 but everyone seemed up for it and not only ran 5.5 miles but upped the pace from last week. Well done girls .

I wonder what Moi will have in store for us next week .

Oh and a huge thank you to Carmen for bringing in homemade tasty sandwiches and a flask of hot tea knowing we had a leaders meeting after our run tonight and would not get home to eat til late . Believe me they were well received
