John Mathison Clothier Family

Searching for information about the John Mathison Family (clothier), as noted in the stone marker attachment. My grandfather was Duncan, who came to Rhode Island, USA with his bothers and sisters. Duncan and Bessie are not listed on this marker, unless on the back. My mother, Ann Janet, grew up knowing Neil and Bessie and I am aware of the house where they lived.
Also attached, a family picture taken in Cambeltown, Duncan is noted with arrow, Bessie is the younger girl in front of Duncan. Any and all information is appreciated.

Hi..., and welcome to the Kintyre Forum.
I'm not surprised you have had no reply. How about providing a few dates ?

The Lezanic Family Tree is my Tree and contains the info I found. The family group photo was given to us by my mother Ann J Mathison, who married my dad Michael Lezanic. I am sorting through the other Trees on Ancestry. It becomes difficult as the name changes spelling on Trees from MATHISON (our spelling) to MATHESON, MATHIESON, MATHEWSON which raises questions to any relationship.
Through this Forum, I was hoping to find contacts more closely located in Campbeltown, where the Family Marker was photographed, that could share family knowledge or history (especially since the Elder was a known businessman).
Thanks,
Steve Lezanic

Ooops...
A great tree Steve... Congratulations. Then all you need is some locals to get back to you.
The Forum is not very busy for the time being... Bizarre ? Probably because of Facebook. What I'd do in your shoes is post on Fb for help and provide them with the URL of this page.
Good luck..., Iain.

Thanks, Iain! Last night I found another FB (private) group for Campbeltown and requested to join, awaiting response. I'll check your suggestion out. It appears you are in Belgium, what is your connection to Campbeltown?
