McSporran/Black

Still searching after ten years - it might be old age too. In the 1911 census of Campbeltown there is a Joseph Black, age 6, with Grandparents Hector McSporran and wife Barbara. I am researching or trying to piece together my ancestors, the Blacks, Bakers in Saddell Street. This Joseph Black b.1906 would be my uncle, but I cannot find any link or tie to McSporrans to make him a grandson. Another thought I had did the ennumerator forget to put in the "Do" after his name Joseph Black, making his full name Joseph Black McSporran. Or is this Joseph Black nothing to do with the Blacks in my line. Any help would be much appreciated.
