Campbeltown Pupils will play Greenock Morton on Wednesday 11th July 2012 at Kintyre Park with a 6pm kick off. The event will launch an exhibition in Campbeltown Museum detailing the history of the game in 'the Wee Toon.' The exhibition will last for a number of months, and will be followed by a book on the subject by local man, Alex McKinven. Both are called 'Kit and Caboodle, and will take you on a journey through the many years of the town's association with the 'beautiful game.'
The game will also help to raise funds to replace the roof, showering accommodation and referee's facilities at the park. Please see posters and flyers for information.
Campbeltown Pupils would also like to acknowledge the assistance of South Kintyre Sports Council, Campbeltown Common Good Fund and our local Councillors in the promotion of the game.
Thanks also to sponsors: McFadyen Contractors, Feathers Inn, D A McNair's Fuel Agents, Kinloch Road, Andy and James Robertson, Roof Specialists, Gerry Nugent, Joiners, Huston Electricals, Norman Thomson, Plumbers, James McLean, Burnside Bar, and the Mull of Kinyre Music and Arts Festival. Your help in the promotion of this event is invaluable.
