My mobile phone conked out the other week so it was time for a new one. The old one had been in use for over three years, which is a long time for a phone apparently, so I can't complain.

This time around I thought I'd go for an all singing, all dancing phone with bells on. That's exactly what I got. Reading the instruction manual, I realised the camera on this new phone has panoramic capabilities, so I've been testing it out. The picture quality isn't too good at the moment in my hands and I can only post shots with a max width of 800 pixels on here, but you get the idea

Thanks Johnny, the new camera is a nice little package giving impressive results from something of that size

As for that last pic, I don't care one bit for the feelings of farmers or landowners that allow their properties to be used in such a way. If they are worried about the public perception of their land then they shouldn't let it get into such a state. My thoughts on this sort of land pollution/eyesore are well documented online (see Geograph for example) and I make no apologies at all for highlighting individual cases, inadvertently or otherwise

Fortunately the scrap yard cannot be seen from afar, you're not likely to see it unless you stumble across it.

And why did you stumble across it? Bit of flytipping or lost your bearings .

One thing about them islands is they do not have the roading depot nearby they can drop off the junk hence the problem as seen by your photos. It is better being dumped in one spot as strewn across the island. The council did at one time and may still do go over and do a clearout now and again.
It is on our own doorstep also, you do not need to go to Gigha.

Here's one from yesterday at Saddel. It was a beautiful day and warm enough for me to wander around in shirt sleeves, another example of one of those days when I am reminded how lucky I am to live here.
