thanks for that petewick but since i started these new pills i'm no longer p!shing mare.

very interesting story about john paul jones, hope all those fishermen coming oot the church had been absolved of all their lies told during the week before they donned their wives attire and started parading aboot, reminds me of a gala day in the 70's when several elder statesmen of the fishing fraternity donned female garb and paraded thru the streets, i seem to recall kemmel wearing a rather fetching hat and overmuch lipstick, before an unsuccessful attempt at the greasy pole later that same day!!!

i do believe i have pictures somewhere of several of them, and i think they are all no longer with us.

Scotlands Influence

Postby FlyingDragon » Wed Sep 26, 2007 12:14 am

Scotland had a great influence on the founding of freedoms in the colonies. They actually are quite the adventurers and inventors. As I read through Scottish history, I can only say the people here always remain free in spirit and mind. Nothing seems to prevent them from supporting liberties cause.

That would be an ecumenical matter.

Jock, I have been wondering the same thing quite a bit. She had gotten a new job, but then she just dropped off totally. I miss her. Dorian, if you're out there, speak to us!

I noticed from what I could make out of the dates on most of the gravestones that they were babies or in early childhood when they died. Some were siblings dying a few months apart, I just assumed the skull and crossbones meant they died of the plague. We also ventured over to Saddell Bay and Castle, it was just a lovely peaceful time.

Skull and crossbones are a symbol of our mortality, there sometimes an hoiur glass engraved to
remind us of the sands of time eventually run out.
Can't think of any plague outbreaks this far north.
