Hi All,

Just to set let you all know, l have given some people the go ahead to give me a time instead of running the 6 miles that have been set up so everyone is on the same playing field.

Some of you will think or feel that it not right and yes you would be and it is understandable you will be miffed about this, but anyone of you could of been in that boat due to what ever circumstances that lay ahead of you.

When l first set this up it,it was for everyone to run and enjoy it,with the competitiveness attached to it and that is still the case and always be the case,so l hope you all will take my decision on this with the same thought of flexibility towards the enjoyment of each race of the month, which l know you will and without the numbers it would not be the same.

One stipulation on this, their time when calculated must not exceed the 1:7:30s ,so thos that l have given the go a head be sure you get out training.

Thanks.

Donald,

I will be away for the rest of the week and will miss the run tomorrow night. I was hoping to take a scratch on the first race of this years Series if that would be ok. The only 10k time I have is from the MOK run last year. Whatever you say is fine with me.

Hope everyone has a great run this week.

Hi All

without giving to much away, for thos that want to have a scratch time cannot be included in something l have in mind,so if you give me a time between now and few days befor the first race you will be included,

So a time will be appreciated.

jmr3 can you give me your Gigha time and distance.

l am being as flexible as l can,but we also have to think about the other runners that have gone about the business the way that has been asked of them.

Thanks.

Should I be this nervous about a dummy run??????

Perhaps it's down to the fact I ran a pretty hard 6 miles last night and feel like I have been hit by a bus :( or simply because I drove the course in the car last night and had to stop at the jetty on the way back for a breather!!

Nevertheless, nerves or not, really looking forward to running against the clock again, its been too long

Fiona28,thanks for getting a few more to run on Thursday.Do not think we are getting soft ,l call it motivation the hard way, trying to convince everyone that this event will get you to become a far better runner than just plodding the same route at the same speed and kidding yourself that one is doing well as they plateau in their training and most important, its fun with a great bunch of runners.

Anyway,l have mymapped the route so the distance is perfect, although it will be interesting on the read outs of poeple garmin on the night. The weather looks very good for all, ie the runners and time keepers.

After this race l will need people to start to register if they do not have a number or have not passed their recent times on and can you give full time ,ie hr min sec. When doing so can you pm me and include Carmen aswell please as Carmen needs the info too and it will kill two birds at a time.

Thanks.

No probs Katie, thanks for letting us know,l am sure we might have a few spectators which will help out if needed.

Thanks for the running times that people are sending through, keep them coming if you have not or think l have not got your recent time.

The interest for this years series has risen,so hopefully everyone that has shown an interest actually gets to the start line.l can assure you that you will not feel out of place with the great bunch of runners that saw it through last year.Everyone is on equal footing and it is hard running fun.

l will dish out a number to thos that has not got in touch with me via the forum and have made it known through another runner that they will run tonight.

Thanks

Donald,

May have persuaded another runner for tonight. Is it ok for her just to turn up if she can make it?
