I`ve just had a book passed on to me, just started it, The Bombmaker, by Stephen Leather, set in Ireland, should be OK from the synopsis.

I've just finished 'The Lost Symbol' by Dan Brown. It was a great and exciting read. The critics didn't like it. They made fun of the author's style and his logical mistakes. I bet they couldn't write anything as captivating as this book, though. Perhaps I have just displayed my lack of true intellect by enjoying this book.

Same story as his other books, though. I did read it all in two sittings right enough, so he must be doing something right.

The Bombmaker was very good, but reminescent of Jack Higgins. Am now coming towards the end of A Thousand Bones, by P.J.Parrish, an author I haven`t come across before, and have quite enjoyed it. There isn`t a list of previous books so maybe a first? If so, it`s a very good first.

Have just googled P.J.Parrish and found that it`s a pseudonym for 2 sisters, Kristy Montee and Kelly Nichols and they`ve written quite a few books, can`t think why I haven`t come across them before. Will certainly be looking out for more,

Finished High Profile by Robert B.Parker which is another in the Jesse Stone series.Only came across this author recently though as stated previously he has written over 60 novels.I enjoyed this one ,as like the last ,it is easy reading and the characters are believable.

Dan Brown's latest The lost Symbol is waiting on the table for me to start.

From reviews I`ve read, there isn`t a lot to choose between The Lost Symbol and Dan Brown`s previous offerings, but I still plan to read it. Have just started Tower of Silence by Sarah Rayne, a bit slow in starting, hope it picks up soon.

As long as you keep that in mind, then you will not be disappointed.

The Lost Symbol is not as exciting as Angels and Demons, but neither was the DaVinci Code.Don't want to say more as it would spoil it for those who have not read it yet.

Glad I did not have to purchase the book. :D

"Flipping Out "by Marshall Karp is the third in the Mike Lomax and Terry Biggs series, who are homicide detectives with the L.A.P.D.It was a very easy read ,but not very gritty or violent.

Tower of Silence has definitely picked up some pace, getting quite good now.

Winter Prey by John Sandford is an early publication from his "Prey" series, and very good it is too.I have never been disappointed with any of Sandford's books, always interesting thrillers which keep you guessing.

Excellent read. This is the 1st novel by said author, published in 2007.

If you like serial killer thrillers then this is for you.Thoroughly good read.

The lead character is FBI agent Smoky Barrett female .Checking the authors home page I see he has since written another two novels both with Smoky Barrett as the lead character.I certainly will be looking for them on the bookshop shelf.

Just finished the second novel of four writen by Cody McFadyen,The Face of Death".Excellent read for all those who like a dark violent story.
