Mmmmmmmm, don't agree but great that we can all have our own opinions.

Aye to that. :) That was a long "Mmmmmmmm", though. Just for the record I detested Thatcher as much as anybody, at the time. I'd just feel uneasy adding my tuppence worth given her present physical and mental deterioration. As to a state funeral, isn't it a tad ironic that her admirers should be calling for the government to foot the bill?

Churchill. The man was hugely instrumental in bringing about the downfall of the greatest threat Britain has ever faced. Nazis. Real ones, not the ghosts who haunt the minds of moonbats and seem to appear in the form of anyone who doesn't share their fantasies. Real nazis, who'd already begun taking extremist ideology to its lunatic and genocidal conclusion. In industrial fashion. For that alone he would have been worthy of a state funeral.
That's just my opinion, though.

Don't you see the ideological link between the British National Party and the Orange Order ? Both are vehemently opposed to the dissolution of the United Kingdom without which, their very reason of existence becomes obsolete. As previously stated the Order would fight tooth and nail, to retain the current set up. ( take a look across the water ) The order places an artificial racial premise ( British ) above their own Celtic racial roots. The reality of the matter is that we have real traitors in our midst. The Orders supporters as the Nazi's, carried out the biggest mass movement of people since WW2, in Belfast. Each belong in the extreme right wing of the political spectrum. Each show contempt towards a certain section of the population, be they Jews or Catholics, as without the sugar or the shite, the flies would dwindle and perish, as without someone or something to focus hatred on, their reason for existence.
If you think Churchill was influential in defeating Fascism, then we as Scots owe a greater debt of gratitude, to Joseph Stalin, and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Ironically the Orange Order hold the Royal Family in high servile esteem - the same said Family had well documented Nazi sympathisers.
See how easy it is to intertwine Baroness Thatcher, Adolf Hitler and the upholders of the ruling class system, the Orange Order of Scotland. Far fetched from the haunted mind of a moonbat.

Aye, so had many people with "Celtic racial roots", as you so creepily put it. But you can't see the road ahead for looking in the rear-view mirror, as one of the more intelligent posters on here once said.

Finally, sir, finally. Have you left no sense of decency?*
You come on here and constantly accuse, accuse and accuse. You accuse people of bigotry, you accuse them of racism, fascism and hatred. All through the narrow, distorted lens of your looking-glass logic. Have a long, hard and honest look at yourself. You might just find what you're looking for. Come on and give us your craic, but give the hatred a rest. Nobody here deserves it.
*Joseph Nye Welch.

P.S. Stalin? A hero? I've heard it all now.

Bill, being such an admirer of the great women
How did Thatchers refusal to impose economic sanctions against the apartheid regime of South Africa, sit with you ?
I would rather hate something morally corrupt like the Orange Order - than support a fascist state as she did.
P.S. the apple never fell far from the tree, when it came to Mark and his involvement in African affairs now did it.

It would seem that it's OK to detest a human being, yet when it comes to hating an organisation, all hell breaks loose. As far as I'm aware, I've never said that I actually hate the Orange Order - check my posts  I suppose you will argue as the kettle to the pot, that detest doesn't necessarily mean hate - I would say they belong in the same family, wouldn't you? Funny how the only, out of the closet Orangemen, are blueboyno1 and fish ( whoever that may be - he didn't have the decency even to reply ) Doesn't bear well for the Kintyre Orange Order now does it? Of course they don't really have too respond now do they ? When they have true defenders or apologists like yourself and bill. Bill by the way demands, that I keep my hatred for the Orange Order out off the thread - yet he tolerates your detestation off that monster Thatcher. Sorry boy's, maybe you have to be a Catholic to understand the true nature of the hatred attached to the Orange Order. And a stay at home Scot, to understand the hatred felt towards Thatcher by the Scottish people.

Ionnsaigh.

I only said I detested her at the time. A slightly more proportionate response than calling someone a monster with a genetic abnormality, wouldn't you say?
And I haven't called anybody "scumbags". Or "F***** b******". Or "Orange b******". Those are the words of an ongoing, obsessive hater.
A true defender and apologist for the Orange Order???? Facile nonsense. The orange order's right up there with trainspotting on the list of my concerns. I speak for myself.
See, this is what you do. Assign someone a mindset on the flimsiest of evidence, then totally ignore the individual and accuse them of all sorts of invented nonsense by association. All on the basis a puerile assumption. The same trick racists and bigots turn. And it's becoming tedious and tiresome reading it.
Sorry, Ionns. Really. :( But that is how I see it at the moment.

Yes of course your right hugh, my sincere apologies to you, bill, Emdee and blueboyno1,and the Campbeltown Orange Order.
I have been experiencing some real pain in the arse, legal problems with a group of trailer-trash from Drumchapel, who happen to all be members of the Orange Order ( absolutely nothing to do with Kintyre ) so sorry. I'm afraid I've let this, cloud my judgment ( slightly ) .
Facile nonsense indeed - puerile assumption ( love it )

PS I still don't like the Orange Order.

God bless you Mrs T. I was fooled by you and your government back then, and I'm not even a whinging Scot. You folk are not the only people to be living the woman's legacy, however, you folk are the only ones that go on and on and on and on and on and just when we think it's over one of you goes on a wee bit more.
Get over it FFS.

A group of seven squatters have moved into a property a few doors from Baroness Thatcher.Maybe she will invite them round for afternoon tea.It is the neighbourly type of thing I can see her doing,a cup of tea,and a discussion on their housing problems. 8)
