Joint RNLI,Coastguard and Navy exercise

Postby Coxy » Sat May 02, 2009 12:50 am

Rescue 'Seaking' Helicopter from HMS Gannet in Prestwick will be landing near War Memorial tomorrow about 11AM, (unless they get a shout) before taking part in a joint exercise with the Lifeboats and Coastguard on Davaar Island.

Tell the kids, the'll love watching it

Cool pics KMC,
the orange smoke you see in the first couple of pics is to indicate to the pilot the wind direction for his approach, easier for them to fly into wind giving them more control over the aircraft.
The other pics show the safety brief from the helo crew to the SAR team who will fly in the chopper for the exercise on Davaar.
