You should be able to get flights from Glasgow no problem History. We have been four times and I would go back again in a minute. Cyprus has to be one of my favourite holiday destinations and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody. We have been to Paphos twice, once to Ayia Napa and once to Protaras. Paphos is my favourite. One of these four trips was in November and the weather was great!! The people are lovely, the food is great and the brandy sours are just heavenly :D Flight is about 5 hours from Glasgow.

Just back from a week in Sharm El-Sheik, I felt I had to go seeing as they named it after me! Weather was fantastic, 29C every day, cloudless skies and slight breeze. No need to look at the weather forecast! Although we flew from Manchester I believe Globespan have flights out of Glasgow/Edinburgh. Flight time was just over 5 hrs.

The time span sounds good but I don't want to go to Manchester to fly out. Have you seen the size of that place? I think Campbeltown would fit in twice 8) I was knackered by the time I got on the plane after walking for what seemed miles.

Globespan are great to fly with. The last time we flew we used them out of Glasgow and upgraded for an extra cost of £50.00 to get more space. Well worth the extra. I thought the inflight meal was better as well. Maybe we were just hungry.

I'll see what they have out of Glasgow! Thanks.

Thanks

Not long back from a week in Gran Canaria--at least 27 degrees every day--Tenerife is a lovely place as well--good food and lovely weather. I prefer being near a beach but there are loads of inland places in Gran Canaria which would suit people who don't care about beaches.Euro doesn't go as far now but still worth it. planning to go to Lanzarote next year with a bit of luck.

There is a flight to Glasgow on 26th November to Cyprus.

Just be careful who you book with. There are a few jackets on shoogly pegs just now. We have already had Zoom, XL, Seguro, LTE and now Sterling Airlines. We are now entering the period when the bills have to be paid and the cash flow has dried up so expect a few more to follow suit before Christmas.

Read a report a few weeks ago that Globespan were favourites to be the next airline to go bust.

San Antonio is nice and warm. It is 54 degrees at 8:45 a.m., but will get up to 76 this afternoon, beautiful blue skies, not a cloud to be seen. (given my druthers, i'd be visiting the other places mentioned, too)
Some people die at 21 but aren't buried until they are 65.
