The pencil in the second photograph has "Motor & Agricultural Engineer, 95 Longrow Street and Kinloch Road" written on it. His premises on Longrow were up the opening beside Westwards Veterinary Practice.
Freddy Gillies's "In Campbeltown Once More" sure comes in handy at times.

The argricultural outlet is now a second hand shop, it was once Campbells Shop, my uncle Colin's family. Paterson's had the Ford dealership and garage, I think it closed in the late 90's, not sure if Paterson's were still in ownership.
Patersons garage was as said where the vets and second hand shop is now but the enginering side of it was through the archway behind the shops. The shops were actually the car showrooms. The agricultural side of it was sold to Dennis Dryden and the car garage and show room moved to where Jim Martin is now.
