Blow away the dreams that tear you apart
Blow away the dreams that break your heart
Blow away the lies that leave you nothing but lost and brokenhearted

The audience there for The Stones gig was over 100,000.I can not imagine a live audience of that size!

Seems I wasn't the only one to notice that Keef has developed a belly above his wee spindly legs. I suppose Keef has earned the right to do that, after all, he's still breathing and that must be quite an achievement for him.
I thought this Glastonbury line-up was one of the worst ever and The Stones saved the day. Shame that at their time of life and with so much wealth that they couldn't let the BBC show the entire set, greedy, money grabbing gits. That is one of the reasons why the music industry will never extract another penny out of me.
Other me - You have to admit that they were good.
Me - Yes they certainly were, but....
Other me - shut up you drunken old sod.
Me - Ok, ok, going for another bottle....
Other me - Oh dear
Me - Let's see if I'm still breathing after three litres of Grouse
Other me - I hope not
Me - So do I.
Ouch !

I had to get a taxi up to the hospital yesterday and when I use a taxi I always try to strike up a conversation with the driver, it makes the journey much more pleasant.
This bloke yesterday wasn’t having any of it, a right miserable git I thought, until I mentioned The Stones at Glastonbury.
Now let me explain about Lincoln. It has one of the most awful traffic systems ever with too many traffic lights and no-one has had enough about them to set the timing correctly on any of them. So, there I was, trapped in this taxi with “the biggest Rolling Stones fan in the world”. He was in his element, I was a captive audience and he took every advantage of that fact. I couldn’t shut him up ! What he doesn’t know about the Stones isn’t worth knowing. He proudly rolled up his sleeve to show me a tattoo of Jagger, at the next set of lights he rolled up the other one and there was Keef, staring at me.
I switched off after the first ten minutes and just grunted every once in a while. Thirty bloody minutes in that taxi and by the time we got to the hospital I just wanted to come home and burn all my Stones albums.
Ho-Hum.

Comment in my local rag,"When The Stones came on I thought that I was watching the skeleton scene from Jason and the Argonauts"!
