Aye baskin sharks---- were a lot more common
I remember as a laddie lying on the deck o the 'Elizabeth Campbell' watchin a shoal o baskin sharks swimmin in Drumadoon Bay -- ther wis a right dose o thim ----- Have been told by an elder , thet ther were ower 20 . -----this wis efter the Carradale shark factory had shut doon.
Twice through the eye o' the sun to lift it.

I would say the whale beached at Machrihanish more like 50 years ago and there was more than one time. Gawd sittin here counting the grey hairs now :<>

Didnt know there was a shark factory at Carradale bitter, imagine that, a shoal of sharks.

I remember walking tea slanderous for a days picnicking
I remember getting sweeties in jean Campbell
I remember the open air dances at the top of the prom.
