Don't know if it's still available but one of the best examples of local produce has to be the Springbank "Local Barley" whisky made in 1966 with barley from 3 Southend farms : Macharioch, Machrimore & Lephenstrath. It was put on sale in 1996 at £150 a bottle.

Not a cheese fan myself but the wife always buys some straight from the creamery when we're visiting and brings some back home for the family. They have a "shop" at the side . Believe cheese was made on some local farms until 1948 .

Noticed a sign for Potatoes on one of the farm walls in Glenbreckerie, Southend a while back. Think it was N.Carrine.

The Community Garden, Argyll Voluntary Action and SKDT will be holding a regular coffee morning with produce from the Garden on each 3rd Thursday of the month (starting 16th September) in Kinloch Hall (Guide Hall) 11.00am to 1.00pm
