Rab checked it over,your fine,only mistake l can see on there was me spelling John McGeachy name wrong(sorry John)sorted it thou.

Although there is along way to go in this series,anything can happen.It is usually right up to the wire if its anything like last year and hopefully there will not be too much change.l will however do the changes on the 4th race so everyone will know what they have to do leading into the last race.

Just to remind people its really about improving you speed over the summer with the fun attached to it and meeting your fellow runners on the same par and last but not least have a good shindig before the hard winters training sets in.

Race 3 Bellochantuy 2010


Date: 27th July

Time: 1900hrs

Venue:Argyll Hotel (Bellochantuy)

Terrain:Beach Run (hard sand)

The series is starting to even it self out on each runners times,but if you have been training hard you can expect to catch someone you have set your sights on,which this series is all about,improving.

There seems to be plenty of parking space,try and car share which l know you are good at doing that anyway.

We are still on the lookout for new runners to come and join in either on the night ( pm me to get more info on the series it's self) or a number if you fancy joining on the last three races.

Hi All

Ran the Bellochantuy route this afternoon, as my boys kept badering me to take them for a run and the result is, life is catching me up, and l'll soon be handing over the reins.(lol)

The route as we all know is straight forward,out and back,you have 3 burns to negotiate.2 or no problem as to the fact that running through them at the right point should only be a slight hamper to some.The other one is a wee bit different and if you don't mind a wet foot or two is the one to decide how to tackle it.l don't think it is worth running befor the night,only if you are passing and fancy a nice easy summer's evening run.

It was looking great last month,but the seaweed is making it a bit smelly now and not looking as good,but the surface is a lot easier than Westport last year,so have a good run all and we will see you on the night.

Gutted that I won't make this one. In Glasgow for a few days next week pursuing the long lost art of shopping. I bet that I do a lot more miles on Tuesday than the runners at Bellochantuy. And I bet that while you are all peching, wheezing, coughing, spewing etc, you will still be enjoying your experience more than I will be enjoying mine.

Pain killers are a must for this race.
Too many top of the field runner's not going to make this one, so this weeks race should blow the table wide open, this is a nice flat run, I hope we have a good turn out.

looks like the weather is going to be kind to us tonight so thats a wee blessing considering what we have had in the last couple of days.

that was less than succesful

Soft sand at the seaweed killed me on the way out, and the same bit on the way back with the impending "hurl" finished me off!!!! To be fair I was concentrating that hard on not throwing up mid race that I forgot to go up the last burn a bit before crossing

that certainly woke me up a bit.

Definitely hardest of the series so far (for a number of reasons)

well done last night,beach runs are never easy as we all know,but everyone certainately takes it on with a great effort.What ever position you finish,l know you have ran your best and hurt as much as anyone else.This series is about everyone, and l know all you runner's respect each others effort.

l am having the results checked and as soon as l get the all clear,l will post them up.

l was thinking of having a runners choice on the next venue.Your options are

Tomaig
Barr Glen
Machrihanish.

l will go with the feed back on the majority,so have a think about it and post you comments etc,or what ever.

Nearly missed saying this,our thanks go to Suzy,Alison and Douglas for making the race run as smoothly as it did,thanks again.

Once again,well done on last night and it was a pleasure to be part of it and as a spectator,it looked very impressive.
