This years concert in Victoria Hall, Campbeltown will headline with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

Stuart Cassells who leads the band has previously appeared at the 2005 & 2006 Festivals playing with his band Cassells and as compere the Friday and Saturday night events.

The band are already well known in the town but for anyone who wants more information on them you can check them out at http://www.redhotchillipipers.co.uk

Will post up more info as we soon as we firm up the rest of the details.

I was lucky enough to get a complimentary ticket for the Spirit of the West Festival on Saturday in Inveraray, which was absolutely brilliant. As well as cookery demonstrations, falconery displays, many distilleries, local produce from all over Argyll, the festival was opened by the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. They were fantastic; amazing entertainment, great music, dubious dancing, and guarunteed to get the crowd going - I can't wait to see them do a full set at this year's Music Festival! :D :D :D

I saw them last year in Glasgow at the Old Fruitmarket. Our Kintyre Schools pipe band played on stage with them and are featured on their latest dvd. The atmosphere was fantastic and I intend to see them again when they come down for the festival. I would recommend it to everyone looking for a good time.

Will this event be an over 18's event?
Reason i ask is because i have spoken to a few people and they were saying that their kids would love to see them!

Jules,

As it is an all standing concert the Festival committee decided that the concert will be an over 18's event.

***MY TICKETS ARE NOW SOLD*** Red Hot Chilli Pipers

Postby dunc99 » Mon Aug 10, 2009 3:04 pm

I think that I will find myself with two spare tickets for the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

Two of my party look likely to drop out, and I already have the tickets.

I don't know if there are still tickets available, but if they run out, and people are still looking, give me a shout. Or if you want to make an offer, you could save a bit on the face value and booking fees.

I can either post them or deliver them in the town when I am there on 21st August.

What a great night! :D :D :D

Hoots Heppnin did a grand job of getting the crowd going and the pipers were fab! :D :D :D

It was nice that the rain stayed away for Doon the Green, just a pity that it has made up for it ever since :(

I really wish I could sleep after a night out, but no I wake up at the usual time

Hope you are all surviving and I will see you all tonight x

If the Red Hot Chilli Pipers are still in the town I would try and hang on to them for another night. They were supposed to be playing in Lanark this afternoon but the cooncil pulled the plug on the event this week. So they have a free day ...
