DEL Amitri legend Justin Currie proved one of the highlights with a mix of classic hits and new solo material, such as As Long As You Don't Come Back.

One of Scotland's most under-rated songwriters, Justin, 40, headlined the Grassroots stage.

And despite working on a new album with Del Amitri guitarist Ian Harvie, he ruled out a Dels reunion tour. He said: "We agreed it was the last thing we should ever do."

We are travelling to Campbeltown for the weekend especially to hear Justin. Really can't wait as neither of us have been to Kintyre before and both are avid Justin fans!

Later than usual start but will be worth it. Anyone on here going?

Looking forward to the weekend as a whole as there looks to be plenty on.

Thanks Malky and for the video too! How did you know I love Downfall? :mrgreen:

We were there that night last year in Glasgow and at the Belladrum Festival last where Justin stole they show (even if I am a bit biased!) But it was a great set with lots of old Del Amitri and some of his stuff which is mind blowing.

Perhaps one of the best musical writers in Scotland yet still remains very low key!

Well, not long now! Can't wait!
