Music Festival

As orginisers, we try our best to make the programme as exciting as possible. This means we attempt to include everyone in our plans, all ages, all tastes in music.

However, we are open to good suggestion.

Feel free to make your opinion known. Discussion now open!

Wow, you guys don't waste any time! Maybe thats because campbeltown has the most amazing organizers.. Good luck next year.. from everything I hear, although the weather tried to put a damper on things (literally), this one was a great success.

It was Bobbie...the wee toon folk dont waste anytime. You should put it in your own diary for next year..you would be made very welcome. :)

Great idea to ask for ideas now ...

... because good bands get booked up heavily in advance, especially in peak festival season.

I am really glad that the Skerryvore boys went down so well on the Friday night, because it was me that suggested them ... almost two years ago. They were disappointed not to be able to do 2006 due to prior engagements, and were delighted with the reception they got this year.

Anyway, another good band, with similar Tiree roots, is Skipinnish. Well worth a go for the Friday night ceilidh spot in my view.

Alabama 3.
Famous for opening song to the Sopranos, and I know they have played venues like Ullapool Town Hall in the last couple of years, so I'm sure they'd come. I've seen them live 3 times and they're awesome, both acoustic sets and with the full shebang!!

I know a guy who has supplied the band with whisky for some of their famous after-show parties, and who claims to have a phone number for Larry Love. I can ask him for the number if needed?
