I reckon it will be harder to find a better facility for camping than the one offered by the Mull of Kintyre Music Festival.

From the website

http://www.mokfest.com/localinfo/accomm ... /index.htm

Enjoy your weekend in Kintyre and have a great festival experience. Mull of Kintyre Music Festival boasts a superb camp site five minutes walk from the town centre. Located on the Meadows playing fields next to the superb Meadows View Pavilion campers can enjoy a peaceful location whilst taking advantage of the superb changing, shower and toilet facilities on offer at the Pavilion.

The campsite pitches are allocated out on the day you turn up, as there is plenty of room.

The cost is £5.00 per tent per night and the site is stewarded 24hrs meaning that you can access the showers and toilets anytime.

There is also an enclosed parking area where a limited number of camper vans can stay overnight.

Please remember to respect the peace and privacy of the neighbourhood and obey the simple camp site rules.

Ask our friendly security personnel for a festival leaflet guide - an explanation of whats on at the wonderful Mull of Kintyre Music Festival. Even a cup of tea in the morning is not beyond Mackie or Tommy.

We aim to please!

Follow the camp site signs: From Longrow South turn right and travel up Main Street. At White Hart Hotel turn right and travel past Heritage Centre to Witchburn Road. 400 yards along Witchburn Road take 2nd left to Meadows Road. Meadows View Pavilion and camp site 1st left - 100 yards. Open from Friday afternoon until Monday morning

When we stayed down in Smith Drive you never seen a soul passing or heard them! And always a good scattering of tents!

Phone Southend 830 249 to book the site at Machribeg. There are others, of course, however this is the one at Dunaverty.

Cheers
Mary
