The Ulster Festival of Piping and Drumming was held last Saturday in Monkstown Community School, across the water here in Ulster & I'm delighted to note that congratulations are once again in order for the Argyll Piping fraternity.
Well done to Julie Blue who came 1st in the Junior Piping section. COOL!
A day of fine performances was also highlighted by the achievements of one female competitior, Lee Lawson, now living in Campbeltown, Argyll and chief drumming instructor for the three Kintyre Schools Pipe Bands, became the first female to win an Overall Senior Drumming Championship title.
