I'll post information as soon as I get them on here.

The format of the festival is changing this year and there will be two concerts on the Saturday night. One will be held in the Picture House and will feature Ally Bain and Phil Cunningham - cracking sound in there. As for the Victoria Hall this is to be a concert with all standing - I know the committee have unsucessfully tried to get The Proclaimers, The Saw Doctors and Runrig and are still chasing other bands - so here is hoping. This will mean there will be 600 tickets which will be better for distribution.

Davie what about U2? What better way to bring the second leg of their Vertigo World Tour to a close than by playing at the MOKMF.

Perhaps they would feel the 3rd leg in the US would be a let down after playing the Vic though!!
Should Scotland be an Independent country?

Yes, I believe Scotland is a country and should therefore govern itself.
No, Scotland is not a country it is simply part of the UK and should therefore be governed from London.

News just about to be announced on here and the website will no doubt result in a mad scramle for tickets.

Please check here for regular updates.

Ticket Update

Postby MOK Music Festival » Fri May 13, 2005 11:59 pm

Latest news is that tickets for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday night events will all be available mid June 2005.

Information on the sale of the tickets will be made available on here, http://www.mokfest.com website and local and national adverts in papers etc. If you want to know the most up to date news then the best way to receive information direct is register on here and a mass e-mail will be sent.

All tickets for the Saturday night and Sunday night event in the Victoria hall will be via the Internet and Telephone sales - the same company will deal with both. So good luck! :D

Arggghhhhh!!!! :x :x

Ticketweb should have NOT been selling any tickets!!!!!!

They are not going on sale until the end of JUNE.

Will post more on this once we know what is happening.

Bottom line is you should have not been able to buy them.

As mentioned on here all tickets are not going on sale until the end of June when we would advise everyone.

Official Statement!

Postby MOK Music Festival » Wed May 25, 2005 1:04 pm

STATEMENT FROM MULL OF KINTYRE MUSIC AND ARTS ASSOCIATION -

ORGANISERS OF MULL OF KINTYRE MUSIC FESTIVAL

Tickets for Mull of Music Festival 2005

Due to a mix-up at Ticket Web, which was completely out of the control of the organising committee, a number of tickets for Surivivor's Night were sold on-line without our authorisation. These tickets have now been withdrawn from sale, and those who purchased them will be directly refunded by Ticket Web. The tickets are not printed yet and will probably be on sale during the third week in June. Tickets will be sold through Ticket Web (either on-line or by phone), and will not be available for sale in the town. We will keep you posted through the Message Board, the http://www.mokfest.com website, The Courier and through the national press.

Survivor Night Tickets

Postby elainemck » Wed May 25, 2005 4:22 pm

Thanks for clearing up the confusion! I thought it was a bit strange for the tickets to be up for sale without ANY prior warning!!

Unfortunately I can't make the Sunday night this year anyway :(

But I look forward to the Saturday tickets going on sale at the end of June!
