MOK Festival and Kintyre Schools Pipe Band up for award.

The Mull of Kintyre Music Festival has been nominated in the Best Event category in the fourth “Hands Up For Trad Awards”.

One of four nominees (voted for by the public) in the Visit Scotland sponsored category, the MOK Fest committee are thrilled to be recognised for many years of promoting Scottish/Irish and Celtic music to many happy Festival goers.

This award goes to the nominee in each category who collects the most votes and will be presented at the ‘Scots Trad Music Awards’ weekend in Fort William on the 2nd December 2006.

Voting will be hosted online by The BBC’s Celtic Roots website www.bbc.co.uk/celticroots

The website will be opened for voting from 1st– 24th November 2006. There will also be an opportunity to register votes manually with voting forms available from
