Saw Doctors & Tannahill Weavers to Headline MOK Fest
The Mull of Kintyre Music Festival has announced the first bands for this year’s 20th Anniversary year which runs from August 16th – 19th . Headlining the Saturday Night concert on August 18th are The Saw Doctors who will play at the Saturday night concert in the Victoria Hall, Campbeltown and The Tannahill Weavers who headline the Traditional... Concert in Campbeltown Heritage Centre.
The Festival Ceilidh Night on August 17th will feature the return of Fergie MacDonald’s Band (by popular demand) to play the ceilidh set and Bluegrass specialists The Moonshiners will play the concert set.
Firm festival favorites like the Survivors Night, Mitchells Glengyle Dalriada Connections Concert, Young Folk Night, Festival Parade, Doon the Green, The Festival Club, music workshops and sessions will all be in place this year to ensure there is something for everyone. With other elements like The Kintyre Schools and Sound of Kintyre Pipe Band performances, Campbeltown Brass Band and children’s entertainment with The Funky Chicken these all go together to make a weekend of music and fun for all the family.

The Saw Doctors are a truly top class band to headline the main Victoria Hall concert as are The Tannahill Weavers and The Fergie MacDonald Band in the Traditional and Ceilidh concerts”.
