PARTICIPATION- Now's the time to send the form!

Details and discussion on the MOKBIKE 2015 to be held here in Kintyre on Saturday September 19th 2015 and Sunday September 20th 2015.

PARTICIPATION- Now's the time to send the form!

Postby russanros » Thu Sep 29, 2011 12:10 am

We have now completed the advertising stage, thanks to supporters we have a very nice looking website (http://www.mokbike.com) from which you can download a form!

We have posters in many places, and on buses in the town, most of the outlying villages in Kintyre, as many as we could manage in Mid Argyll and a few in Northern Ireland, many thanks also to Valerie Nimmo who helped a great deal with this, and all the places who have displayed posters.

We have the event on various websites, Argyll & Bute Council, Visit Scotland, Where to Go which cover the local area to the whole of Britain, and pages on Facebook.

We've been in the Courier getting the 'date for your diary' well in advance, followed up by regular articles and also Argyll FM.

I think its fair to say that we have done all we can publicity wise, and feel it is up to you now to make this event a success.

Now is the time to download or pick up a form, and enter, especially if you want to take advantage of the 'earlybird' discounted entry fee! - forms must be posted by THIS SATURDAY - if you want the £5 off!

Remember the entry fee at £25 individual, £35 family is still good value up to the 9th October, When entries close.

Entry fees include the buffet meal after, a goody bag and a dry-flo cycling/running top, all of which is probably worth more than the entry fee itself, and 100 % of the funds raised going to the charity.

Thanks to those already entered: we are halfway there to our hoped for 'target attendance' given this is the first event.

Its to be hoped we get an improvement on the last few days! One of those cool clear crispy autumn mornings would be grand!

Don't let it put you off though, Remember you can still enter up until this weekend, and we are still looking for marshalling etc. helpers. We cant really have too many of those!

Last few hours for entries, we are nearly at 70 riders now, if you still want to come today is the last date for entries....though if you can get an emailed form to us upto lunchtime tomorrow that would be ok, just post the cheque asap.
