Donald,

What distance is the handicap time run on 8th April, is it 3 miles or 10K?

Also, can a recent race time other than a 10k be submitted for the handicap, eg 5k or half marathon?

Thanks

Hi Jennifer,

As it is formulated on the RW prediction calculator, any distance will do,ie a recent 5k race or 1/2 marathon would be suffice, but as everyone is going to be running roughly 6 miles at a 10k race or 6 miles at sport relief, then it will be 6 miles on the 8th.

Thanks

Hi All

Right we are getting close to the Sports relief day and l would like to know over the next week who are likely to be using the race as a handicap time so l can be a little bit prepared as to the numbers, which l don't think will be that many. Also can you pass on the info to others and try and encourage them to take part.As we all know its fun.

The first to respond will be the start of the list, can you just continue the list by adding your name and putting it on the forum.

Many thanks

Ninja it is roughly 1:07:30s,but as l have said before l will be flexible around that sort of time for anyone who seriously wants to run the races this year.

Fiona,it depends what the runners themselves as to what they want from both runs, only one out of the two is important.l will take what they give on the day..

Gigha came after, its up to the runners.

l'm on about sport relief day 21st March and the 8th April was for the runners as an extra chance for a time.

Leave it to them, but thanks for the reminder.

frm my own perspectie djd im doing the sport relief with the kids so cant record time there, so that only leaves me the 8th, you said you wanted fair representation times - im going to struggle doing gigha two days after if i do a well paced 10k. when you are as far behind in trainin as me every run counts :(

i know gigha came up after but really keen to support local runs as much as i can probably most of the other runners wont have these problems anyway as theyre all off doing runs shortly.

Fiona,l put my last post up on the spur of the moment and just before sleep time. Now after reading your post and having the time to look at things and yes your right it would be on a better and level playing field.

The 6 mile time trial will now be on the 15th of April, hopefully it will suit all.

Thanks

I've had a change of plan and I've just entered the Sports Relief 6 miles tonight and will do it as my time trial for the handicap.

I'll probably do the time trial on the 15th April as well. Thanks DJD for changing the date :D Like fiona28, I was keen to do the Gigha race as well and wanted fresh legs for that

Yes, I'll do the 6 mile sports relief one as well - how do you sign up? I can only see the one mile option on the SR website?
So running order now
