Here are the proposed venus, for the 2010 Series ,which there are 8, but lt will be wittled down to 5 come race time.

Donald, what local race are you going to be recording times for a handicap base?
I think I have missed something somewhere along the line...gettin old you see!

I'm not running in the Sports Relief this year, as I'm out the night before. I'll just need to give a guestimate for the Handicap?

Aye right Isla, so yeh will. You will just need to get it at some other race, nae guestimates allowed.

Ninja has answered your question John,but for thos that need one l will be doing a run in April for runners that have do not have a race time for this year.

As l have said befor the runners that have do not have a recorded time and need a scratch time do not score any points in that race

The date in April l will put up on here a month before,so everyone will have the opportunity to at least register a recorded time between now and the first race in May.

I like layman's terms so here it is and I am sure DJD will correct if wrong.

You have four options for Donald to base your handicap on for the 2010 series

1) Run the six mile Sports Relief run on 21st March in Campbeltown - which Donald proposes to be on hand to record on the day

2) Submit a recent 10k time from an official race elsewhere.

3) Run the race in April that Donald is proposing to arrange as above.

4) Run the 1st race of the handicap series on 11th May as a scratch runner which will allow Donald to allocate your handicap for the rest of the races.

So at the very least, enter, and turn up on the 11th.

That's good SCD. Now I get it......what time on 21st March is the 6 mile race? there is a certain cup final that day I need to watch!

Well I will aim for April, if not it will have to be a scratch on the first night! Better go get the trainers on...

just scroll down and the next one is the Campbeltown one

socks can be ordered as you sign up or socks and teeshirts and other gear can be purchased at TKMax or Sainsbury's

Hope some folk will manage to get sponsors and help donate to Sport Relief - we will also have buckets for all your loose change on the day!!

I have signed up for the 3miles - but just noticed DJD's posting that our times will be based on a 10k!!

so will change and an arrange for anyone else who has done that to change as well - Home-Start will get the entrants list emailed -and will change any 3 to 6's if needed - sorry Donald!

Well we have plenty options to choose from folks....I am doing the Nigel Barge 10k on the 27th March plus the 6 mile sports relief so will get my handicap time from one of them . Still got my cool red sports relief socks from last time Jackie which will match perfectly with my handicap gear

The date for the handicap time run is Thurday the 8th April and if people are going to use this date for their handicap time,it would help if they can let me know in advance,Thanks.

Hope this might entice more people to enter this years Handicap as the time to the first race draws ever closer.
