To all Handicap series runners.

For 2011 we have decided to give the healthy local running and jogging community a forum of their own!

To all Handicap series runners.

Postby Ninja Mania » Mon Nov 16, 2009 8:28 pm

Neil John and I have been talking about getting vests/tops and/or shorts with our numbers on them for the start of next seasons series.
We have spoken to the supplier who offered us a top (vest or shirt) and matching coloured shorts, the tops would have your own race number printed in large on the back, and a smaller number on the front, the matching shorts if you wanted them, would have the number on them too. This would make the time keepers job a lot more easier especially on wet race nights.
There is a nunber of colour choices available, ie Blue, Green, Orange, Red, White, Yellow and possible more on request.
I would like to hear your feedback on this before I proceed to a sample stage.
The cost for the top and shorts with numbers on both would be approx £15, this would reduce if we were to have a large-ish order.

DJD sorry, I meant to ask your opinion on this before I posted it here, but i,m getting older and forgot all about it yesterday sorry. Whats your take on this matter?

If the response is possitive I will get some samples to show everyone, we could call a EGM in Burnside bar  and take it from there.

Ninja,l think its a great idea and l hope you both get a good response, idea's like this just make the series all the better for it,and as l have said befor "the series belongs to all of us as runner's'"

The only thing l would like to add is maybe have your first name on the front so you can use it at other races,so spectators can cheer you on.(but thats just cos l'm a skint flint and would want my money's worth,Ha!!

Great idea!!!

Response has been quite good so far so this could be a goer. :D
If you know any of the runners who may not be registered on here and therefore may not know anything about this idea, then please ask them and respond on here for them.
We will let it run for a little while yet as there is no rush to get an order placed.
Eventually I will need a decission on size colours and numbers for everyone, these can be pm,d to me at any time.
I have a sample shirt and shorts which I keep with me during the day, it has no numbers on it, but it gives you an idea of the quality, you can see it anytime you wish its orange in colour, hmmmm that will be why Neil John likes it.
