Well done to Fiona Irwin of Jog Scotland Campbeltown to be awarded this years A&B 'Sports Volunteer of the year Award' , it could not have went to a well deserved person . We are all proud of you fiona28 .

Fiona will attend tomorrow's award ceremony up in Lochgilphead (where ironicly she will be working at anyway through A&B Volunteer centre ) and be presented with her award.

i felt so proud of Jogscotland today that i cried and didnt manage a thank you speech

i had really wanted to say so much about how great you all are and how i really don't need an award cos i am getting so much already but those of you who know me know i dont like public speaking - unless its the MOK run warm up

i wanted to tell them all about the new friends i have gained - how i really dont need an award as my life has been made better by everything i have gained by being with all you guys n gals, the laughs, the worries about races, the whole complete package of a wonderful circle of people around me

i wanted to tell them about the burning feeling i get in my heart when someone mentions Jogscotland, cos i am so so so very very proud of the way all of you embrace being "led" by us leaders, the way you all put complete faith and trust in us

poor willie young had just told everyone i had a great big smile and i walked up crying sorry willie

so im making my thank you speech now - i really was a winner before i was presented with the award today - thank you all

You deserved it dol and your speech said it all ...you made me greet too So well deserved !
