Fiona - are you doing any cycling/swimming as a more non-impact exercise, to protect your knee? I'm trying to alternate between these three forms of exercise - maybe keeps it more interesting too

Have done a wee bit of swimming Tom and my classes are suitable for non-impact or low/high so trying to take it easy, its a funny damage cos i can still do so much but when it comes to running I just have to build up the speed gradually.

Im defo a reformed woman re looking after myself via massage tho and am going to have a monthly overhaul as a must from now on :D do you dabble in this at all?

Back to the thread, the newsletter says we will be travelling by coach but if we have a number that will fit in a mini-bus i think we should take it. If our numbers are over 16 then we can all make our own way or work something out but i like the idea of us all going as a gang - i think its important for team "spirit". :D :D

Hi - Hadn't seen that one, but I have signed up for the mid-argyll triathlon in lochgilphead at the end of september, I think I've got more of a chance if I get to swim and cycle too, and not just run! rabidcabbage is organising it along with stephen whiston who was 1st vet in the MOK 10k this year. I think there's still places too....!

Another little update from what was on the newsletter - we have managed to reserve some rooms at the hotel we mentioned but we must confirm to them by the beginning of August exactly what we require so anybody wanting a bed let us know :D

Just to give you some sample hotel rates that are currently available in case some are still looking for Saturday 6th September.

Express By H.I. Riverside £64.25
Express By H.I. Theatreland £70
Novotel - an excellent hotel IMO - £68.40
Campanile £74.25
Holiday Inn Theatreland £82.50

All prices are per room, include breakfast, and are based on Twin Occupancy.
I have not included the "Quality" which, IMO, is anything but, unless you put "poor" in front of it.
