Hi All,

here is the proposed route, I have yet to run it, I will probably have a pop at it over the weekend, to get the exact distance. I have over a dozen runners that have shown an interest, which is alot more than I had expected. So good on you's take this on over the winter period.

Have a gander and see what you think. This would be a 2 lap route and the finish will be at the mast for safety reasons.

I have walked the route this morning, I think you will find it okay, lots of undulating stretches, with the odd flat section to gain your composer to attack the next uphill surge. All good stuff for getting that wee bit fitter and stronger.

The ground is soft and very wet at the moment, it could get firmer over the coming weeks or get even wetter. That situ, will be in the hands of the weather. There is a few sticky patches to loose a shoe or two if not tied tightly,(lol) or one can just gazelle over them.

All things said, I think its a cracker of a course and I hope you look forward to it once I can confirm if it will go ahead with having the exact date's and time. (I have given you the provisional date's in an earlier post).

Thanks

Adam Armour who own's the land up here at South Glencreggan farm, has kindly gave us pemission to have our xcountry race's over the coming months up and around the plantation area's of the creggan hills. So a big thanks to him.

I now can confirm the following

Winter Series 2012/13 Race 1

Date...... Sunday 24th November

Time..... 1000hrs

Venue.... South Glencreggan Farm

Distance..5miles (approx to be confirmed)

Terrain...Xcountry.

It would be advisable to have the correct footwear, for you own confidence for running over this type of terrain. Once you have bought the shoe, then they should last you a life time. Well worth the money for futurer events you might take on.

Once again can you please let me know, either on here, pm me, or see me in person if you want to run these events. Although as before, one just turned up and was able to run. On this occasion I'd rather know before hand, so I can at least have an idea of the numbers to cater for.

Thanks

Venue : South Glencreggan Farm

Distance: 4.7 miles (2 lap course)

Please let me know if you would like to run in this months race, as I would like once again to have some sort of idea as to numbers. Thanks
