No London for me,no surprise there,so if the running is fine for me at that time, it looks like it Belfast for me. I don't mind,I then will have the full set of home countries marathons runs.

Hope some have been more fortunate, will be around for some training with you (touch wood)

Nice one Katfer,

Put me down for a tenner,a wee bit to start you off towards your target to raise, infact a £1 a mile as that's what my friends put down for me.

Lots of nice people to train with come Junuary.

Good on you.

Great news Katfer. I'm happy to match Donald's offer, (sponsorship) to get you oot on that road. You will handle it, and the training, nae bother.

Just as a note of interest, if anyone that does not get into London wants to do a marathon on the following week then the Stratford (Shakespeare) marathon is on the following Sunday, its got a capacity of 1400 for the full marathon and 2300 for the half marathon, traditionally its been used as an overspill for the London Marathon.

A lot of people who dont get into London but want to continue training with their running partners enter it. Its pretty central, being close to Birmingham, Worcester, Cheltenham, Evesham and Warwick, they all within 30mins of Statford with good public transport links, so plenty of places to stay and lots to do for the whole family within a short distance of Stratford if you fancy making a long weekend of it.

If you do decide to go with the family and they are young, consider Warwick as ur base as Warwick castle if a fabulous place for young and old with mock medieval battles and Knights having jousting competitions
