Was a killer route today! Ouch indeed DJD!

Hope everyone else enjoyed their run, good day for it, everyone was flying up those hills to peninver.

Managed my 20 miler ok although I was cursing myself at various points for picking such a hilly course despite many attempts from Stuart to change my mind I was stubborn or maybe mad lol.

Only walked a little (and nearly cried) when I got to mile 12ish to find a 'road closed' sign, 3 big diggers and a huge pile of dirt! Well I wasn't for turning back so I got ankle deep in the muck and scrambled over the top of the muck to get back on track to the lussa road end!

I forgot how hilly the whole route was and I never seen a soul from ballochgair until after skeroblin where out of the blue Stuart appeared in the car with juice (Orange squash has never tasted so good) and I was pleased that I managed to resist the temptation of jumping in the car! That welcome surprise gave me the boost I needed to get home but I don't think I could have went a cm further never mind 6 miles!

Ralphie and I managed 12 miles yesterday---felt pretty easy actually. This training must be working. Darren joined us for a bit of it. Nice to see you out again Darren. Time to step up the mileage, now, to incoporate Mondays and Wednesdays. Hope to do 5 miles tonight.

Yip definitely time to start slotting in the extra miles on Mondays, my legs however always feel really tired on a Wednesday so am going to opt for a swim or cycle on this day instead.

I ran to Southend yesterday which gave me 10.5miles, and it was just a pleasure to do on such a nice day.

Good to hear your out and about again Darren.

Donald hope your injury is healing and you'll be back soon.
