Island View is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views ........ an ideal destination for anyone wanting to "getaway" from it all. Well done to Peter and Lesley on all their hard work! :D

Wow, gorgeous place. And the 'no pets' policy works for me as both my daughters suffer from chronic Asthma.

Will be going there soon, for sure!

Just wondered if anyone knew what the old cottage up the road from Westport was called ? It looks uninhabited now with the rock against it on the old narrow road. Somebody must own it though. Anyone know its name or owner ?

Can't remember the name, but by pure coincidence, I had a conversation in the not too distant past about that place. It was reckoned to be owned by West Darlochan farm. I have no way to verify this of course, but the other person in the conversation is very knowledgable about the Kintyre area and the Kintyre people. He hasn't let me down before ;)

If you are wondering if it is for sale....................It's not. If it was it would be gone long ago.

Crowth as far I know there have been lots of enquiries from locals about this place and the folk who own it have said that it is not for sale. A shame really because it would be a lovely spot.
