Unknown cemetery.

Can someone tell me where this cemetery is ? Looks as if it could be alongside a church ! Thanks..., Iain.

It might be the old building within Keil cemetery at Southend.
If the weather is fine tomorrow, I might just pop along and check it out for you Iain.

That is definitely Keil. This section is at the far side of the ruined chapel and cannot be seen from the road.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner ! Roger, I found the image on Google and as confirmed by Crowth, I had the feeling is was somewhere south.

Wouldn't want to walk there on a lonely, moon-lit night..., there's obviously no street lighting ! :wink:

That old cemetery looks very interesting,has anyone transcribed the names from the gravestones,i`m sure there would be lots of people who would be interested to know who is buried there.

You can get copies of photos from all Kintyre cemeteries from Ralston Genealogy.

OOPS looked at that link and found it.
It looks like it was known as St.Columba`s Kirk Cemetery.
Very interesting old stones.
