Hi there ! In 1892 he’s a postman and perhaps living in Kirk Street, Campbeltown.

Birth Portsmouth abt 1868.
Parents Bernard McGowan b1840 and Matilda Cook.
I tried the 1901 census but not much luck.

Note, if you believe there's an emigration possibility..., why not ask;

Hi again ! You seem to be quite familiar with ship-lists ! What sites do you use ?
I have a grandfather who was shipped to Canada via Bernardo's and have all his movements thanks to...

..., but I'd like to find lists on incomming ships from Canada when he returned to Britain to marry my grandmother.

Any advice ? Thanks..., Iain.

Thanks MPR !

Lol ! Portsmouth ? Nelson could have answered that one ! Lol ! I suppose Fleming of Campbeltown (Flemings Land) could have also answered ! As could have my 3xGr grandfather Neil McArthur of Flemings Land, High Street in 1825 who repaired his shoes. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10788&hilit=flemings+land

I suppose I could also add my parents who owned the Churchillian all these years ago ! :lol: Upstairs and watching the thunderstorms..., great memories.
