Col Taylor - One of Founders of Dunaverty GC

Does anyone have any information regarding the Colonel Taylor who is listed online as one of the founders of the Dunaverty Golf Club?

Dunaverty Golf Club was founded on the evening of 19th March 1889 by ten sporting gents who met in the Argyll Arms, Campbeltown. James Taylor,of the Argyll Arms, Southend died in 1897.
