This is a public meeting at which the elected members of the community council discuss issues of local importance. The role of community councils in Argyll & Bute will Change over the next few years as per the SNP election manifesto to make them more accountable to communities and to bring decision making closer to communities.

Elections to Community Councils take place on the 29th October 2009

I would like to correct the above announcement which was apparently posted without reference to the Community Council.

The Campbeltown Community Council routinely has its meetings on the second Monday of every month. Notices detailing the times and venues of the meetings are put up in the library on the community notice board and in the Town Hall.

The meeting in October is on Monday 12th at 19.30 in the Town Hall and not on 5th October as stated in the previous post.
