There will be free fiddle workshops with Islay fiddle player Rebecca Brown in the Kirk Street Hall, Campbeltown on Friday May 8th. They will be the sixth in a series of workshops which have been held monthly since November last year. They are run jointly by The Kintyre Music and Arts Tuition Group, The Kintyre Fiddlers and the Kintyre Cultural Forum.
Rebecca, who will be conducting her forth set of workshops started playing the fiddle at the age of nine, is currently studying her third year in the BA Hons Applied Music at Strathclyde University.
Places can be booked by emailing kmatg@hotmail.co.uk or you can turn up on the day as there should be spaces available.

Intermediate 5.15pm

Later that night there will be a session in the White Hart Hotel from 9.30pm with various artists including Rebecca, Ross Kennedy and Lorne MacDougall.
The organisers are also working on a new concert for June 12th called "Music of Kintyre Night", we will post more up about this in the Local Events Section.
