This is the year of the Homecoming and the Gigha Music Festival has its own celebration. Come along and join in a week long celebration of the Homecoming on Gigha.

26th -30th June Isle of Gigha


Events Programme

Friday 26th June 7.30pm Gigha Village Hall

The children of Gigha Primary School - a Musical

Drama on the theme of Homecoming.

Written and directed by Lorna McAllister.

Saturday 27th June

1pm Parade from fire station to the playpark.

Then an afternoon of music , craft stalls,

food and fun!

5pm. Barbeque at the boathouse. Music session.

7.30. Concert and Ceilidh;

Jani Lang with Fraser Fifield

Canterach, Rebecca Brown, Lorne MacDougall

The Norman MacKay ceilidh experience.

Bar and food available. Gigha Village Hall

Sunday 28th June

Gigha and Cara Parish Church.

12 noon Homecoming service led by Rev Anne McIvor

Exhibition in Gigha Hotel Lounge throughout the Festival.

Historical photographs and artifacts, from recent and

Ancient times on Gigha.

To submit items please see Alistair MacNeill.

Sunday 28th Piper's Picnic - follow the pipes to the shore.

Rubha chinn mhoir - opposite the Hotel - dance on the sand.

Barbeque and soft drinks available.

Monday and Tuesday

Guided Walks, sailingr rowing trips in Seorsa our community boat.

Homecoming tree planting at Achamore Gardens.

Tuesday evening - join Graham's Gathering in the Hotel.
