Free Fiddle Workshops Friday 17th April

Free Fiddle workshops with Islay fiddle player Rebecca Brown are being held in the Kirk Street Hall, Campbeltown on Friday 17th April. They will be the fifth in a series of workshops which have been held monthly since November last year. They are run jointly by The Kintyre Music and Arts Tuition Group, The Kintyre Fiddlers and the Kintyre Cultural Forum.

The tutor for this set of workshops, Rebecca Brown (pictured) performed at last years Mull of Kintyre and Gigha Music Festival’s. Rebecca, who will be conducting her third set of workshops started playing the fiddle at the age of nine, is currently studying her third year in the BA Hons Applied Music at Strathclyde University.

Places can be booked by emailing kmatg@hotmail.co.uk or you can turn up on the day and there should be spaces available.

The times for the workshops which are free are

Beginners 4.15pm
Intermediate 5.15pm
Experienced 6.15pm



Later that night there will be a session in the White Hart Hotel from 9.30pm with various artists including Rebecca, Ross Kennedy and Lorne MacDougall
