The MOK Fest launches it’s new Glen Scotia West Coast Rocks Concert in the Victoria Hall on Aug 24. The concert promises a great west coast line-up of bands with folk rock legends Manran, Heron Valley and Rhuvaal all performing.

Manran have quite literally rocketed to the top of the Scottish music scene with their powerful combination of songs underpinned by driving accordion, fiddle, flute and a backline of drum and bass to make any mouth water. Mànran are also the only band to host Highland and Uilleann pipes together in one line up to create a sound like no other.

Heron Valley are an energetic, young five-piece folk band from Scotland who are making a much requested return to play at this years MOK Fest. Their roots lie in Scottish and Irish traditional music, while taking influences from various Folk, Country and Bluegrass styles. Now headlining many festivals from the UK to the USA the band bring an enthusiasm and energy to their live performances.

Local outfit Rhuvaal who have been touring and performing at festivals across Scotland for the past year will open a concert that promises to bring the full on west coast festival experience to this years Sat night concert in the Vic.
