A meeting was held in Campbeltown recently to set up a community woodland at Beinn Ghuilean, the forestry plantation on the well-known hill overlooking the town.

The meeting was a great success, attracting a range of people with differing backgrounds in health and well being, education, forestry, historical research and mountain biking.

Another meeting has been arranged at the Argyll Arms Hotel Campbeltown -Tuesday, 3rd March at 7pm. All are welcome. The plan is to get a team together to start formal talks with Forestry Commission Scotland with a view to lease or purchase under the National Forest Land Scheme. Come along, find out what is involved and perhaps volunteer to play a role in this exciting project.
