The programme is advertised in the Courier every Friday and on Argyll FM, there are handbills in a number of shops, and there's a display stand outside George McMillan's shop in Main Street, not forgetting the displays outside the cinema itself.

Thanks for support and suggestions WC1 (the disappointment about music events included, it all helps). Here is our update on booked events to date. Apologies for the lack of music. Perhaps in the future.

Romeo and Juliet

Postby PictureHouse » Wed Apr 16, 2014 2:34 pm

***Orlando Bloom wows as Romeo***
On Tuesday night we put on "Romeo and Juliet" with #orlandobloom and #conolarashad. It was our first event cinema production. It was a fantastic performance. The story came completely alive. The filming was skillful so that the cinema audience had as enthralling an experience as the those present in the theatre. We are looking forward to many more live events at CPH. Did you attend this one? What did you think of the experience?

Was at cinema today and booked my ticket for Andre Rieu on July 19th. (£12 for the balcony a bargain) Took some of the printed lists of future events and have posted them in the Community Centre and a few other places if others will do the same it will help the cinema.

**** Ballet Good****
The Winters Tale our second live event sceened tonight at 7.30pm. It was a fantastic entertainment and a great opportunity to see something different.

We saw a great story well told through dance. We had an opportunity to see superb dancers interpret a dramatic story convincingly and hear moving music that supported and added to the action.

Imaginative, colourful or atmospheric costumes, set and special effects always enhanced the performances.

The production was a great advert for screened live events. We hope you enjoyed it too and will support more and diffent live events.
