Campbeltown Townscape Heritage Initiative are supporting SPAB’s annual National Maintenance Week this November, by hosting a free ‘Maintaining Traditional Buildings’ event on Wednesday 27th November 7-9pm at the Ardshiel Hotel in Campbeltown.
Now entering its 12th year, National Maintenance Week brings practical and straightforward advice on maintenance and repairs to everyone who looks after a property. Taking small steps, particularly at this time of year, to remedy minor problems can avoid disruptive and costly repairs in the future. The event is intended for owners of traditional buildings but open to all.
The event will cover;
· Understanding how traditional buildings work
· Traditional materials and construction
· Dealing with damp
· Maintaining your property
· Finding a suitable contractor
· How and when to engage professionals
This event is free of charge and tea/coffee and shortbread will be available.
